Local data requires local recovery

Dell has specifically positioned the DD3410 for SMEs and distributed sites. It occupies just two height units, offers you 8 to 40 TB of usable capacity, and achieves a throughput of up to 20.7 TB per hour with DD Boost. For you, this means: shorter backup windows and significantly faster local recoveries.

What you need to know when choosing the architecture: the DD3410 is deliberately not a system with unlimited scalability. Dell does not include Cloud Tier or external expansion enclosures for this model. If you are looking for straightforward, local protection, this is a welcome simplification. However, if you are planning for rapidly growing long-term storage, we should look into larger models together at an early stage.

The DD3300 officially reached end of sale on 9 April 2025 and will reach its end of service life on 31 December 2028.
